Comment: Stayed here on the way out to our kids and stayed on the way back perfect! I think the crowd at this campground were here for a even in town. Even with all that the staff were up to speed and we had a quick check in and out. The sites were a little small for our taste.

Comment: Nice campground with good staff. Quiet convenient to I-65 and some terriffic local shopping. Some trees that need trimming can be a concern to the big rigs. A little on the pricey side.

Comment: We liked this campground Friendly mangement and polite atmosphere from eveyone we spoke to. They put us in a site that met our needs for no trees blocking our tv satellite as well as the length to accommodate our motor home with the 25 trailer that we pull.
Overall Rating:
Each loop in the campground has a modern bathhouse with hot showers. Our staff cleans bathhouses daily and we ourselves pride in their cleanliness.
Joe Wheeler also has a primitive campground for those who prefer a little more roughing it. These guests however do have access to use the bathhouse located in the adjacent C loop of the campground. These sites do not have electrical hook-ups, but water hydrants are located in this area.
We do accept reservations for improved sites, but we do not reserve individual sites. You may make a reservation by calling 1-800-ALA-PARK or 256-247-1184. We require a one-night deposit to hold a reservation. This will guarantee you have a site when you arrive.
