Subject: unfriendly campground
Comment: These campground run it more like a prison camp, trying to catch you doing any thing wrong. It is a very un friendly, uncomfortable atmosphere.

Comment: Country Haven Campground is NOT FRIENDLY, for people, pets or children. The owners were less than cordial, opinionated & very condescending. You will get reprimanded and spoken to like a child, if you don't listen to them while read you the rules after they hand you rules, so you better pay attention! I felt "stalked", every time I walked my dog. With four other families camping together, none of us could relax and enjoy our visit because they were watching us. It was absolutely horrible! The rules are in excess and absurd!
As far as dogs, don’t bring them! I followed every rule all weekend. Made sure they were leashed when I walked them, which is a normal rule and good to abide. I cleaned up after them, which of course is courteous thing to do. I made sure they had a leash on when they sat on my lap (which is one of the rules). I scolded my dog if they even made a whimper b/c you will be reprimanded if your dog barks even once! It happened to the campers a few sites down when I walked my dogs and theirs barked as I walked by, which they did quiet them down, but were told by the owners. The owners insist you provide a cell number so they can call you if your dog barks, another rule.
However, the last thing I was doing putting my two dogs in the truck. I carried one dog and the other was beside me. Out of blue the owner popped around and said “YOU WERE VERY GOOD ALL WEEKEND, UP UNTIL NOW”… B/c my dogs did not have their leashes on while going from the camper to pickup, I was reprimanded like a five year old and had to listen to his “true stories”… This was very creepy b/c it’s obvious they were watching me all weekend just waiting.
